Graduate Studies

At Northern, learning doesn’t have to stop with a bachelor’s degree. Maybe you plan to continue directly to graduate studies after completing your undergraduate degree, or perhaps you are an established professional looking to advance your education. Either way, Northern has opportunities for you.

Northern offers a variety of graduate programs, including banking and financial services, counseling, education, music, and more.

"I was very satisfied with my first masters degree experience at Northern, so when the opportunity to pursue my masters degree in administration online presented itself, I jumped at the chance. My advanced degree led me to a new career in education."

Kim Aman

Elementary school principal

Masters in Educational Studies '08, Masters in Leadership & Administration '13

To provide you the opportunity to complete an advanced degree while advancing your career, several courses and programs are offered online so you can enroll in courses without commuting or relocating to Aberdeen.

Hybrid courses, which combine an online component with an abbreviated face-to-face component taught on Northern’s beautiful campus, are also available in some programs. This allows you to interact with peers and professors on a more personal level and offers a more intense, focused setting for discussions and projects.

The graduate programs at Northern provide the skills needed to move into a leadership role in your chosen field. For more information, contact the Office of Graduate Studies at 605-626-2558 or gradoff@northern.edu.
