Brochure

It's a long way from Aberdeen, S.D., to Italy - center of some of the world's most important and widely admired art; but it's just a step away through Northern's "Art in Italy: Past to Present," June 5-15, 2013.

Led by Northern professors Greg Blair and Sara Christensen Blair, this 1-credit course takes you to Italy to study the Italian Renaissance in Florence and visit several key artworks:

  • Michelangelo's David
  • Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, and
  • Leonardo da Vinci's The Annunciation.

In Venice, you'll leap forward to the cutting edge contemporary art world on display in the world's most important contemporary art fair, the Venice Biennale.

  • 22 spots offered

  • Registration begins August 2012

  • $500 deposit due by Nov. 15, 2012
