The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit at Northern, with about one-third of Northern students majoring in programs through the college.


 The CAS is divided into three departments:

Northern's CAS offers academic expertise and exciting experiences to thousands of K-12 students year-round through its Elementary Language Program, annual Science Fair, Women in Science event, and Math Contest.
