Learn on the job, across the globe
These departments administer dynamic internships, where students are placed in the community to gain firsthand experience in public and private agencies, schools, businesses and social service agencies. The CAS also organizes learning experiences across the U.S. and abroad.

Published faculty
While dedicated to classroom instruction, our faculty members work on a wide range of challenging research that often results in publication. See the Publications page for their current and previously published academic research and areas of expertise.

Regional education and events
Northern's CAS offers academic expertise and exciting experiences to thousands of K-12 students year-round through its Elementary Language Program, annual Science Fair, Women in Science event, and Math Contest.
