Matt Hammer (Jr., F, Elkton, S.D.) hit the game winning shot to propel the Wolves to a 68-66 road win over MSU Moorhead. Hammer finished the game with 22 points on 6 of 12 shooting including 10 of 12 from the charity stripe. Hammer also had a team high eight rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes of play.

Hammer is averaging 18.9 ppg and 7.1 rpg to lead the Wolves. He also leads the Wolves in assists (80), steals (35) and minutes played (32.5 mpg). Hammer was a 2003-04 NSIC All-Conference selection and a member of the 2004 NSIC All-Tournament Team. Hammer has scored 930 points (11.9 ppg) thus far in his career at Northern leaving him just 70 from 1,000 in his career.
