Lindsey Lesnar looks to be the “Next Big Thing” in Northern State Cross Country this season as she ran a career best at the Roe Granger Invite on Friday, October 8 th. Lesnar finished the 5K race at Lee Park Golf Course in 19:47, a time that will rank in the top five times in the NSIC this season.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference named Lesnar the Cross Country Athletes of the Week after she won her first collegiate race.

Overall the Roe Granger Invite was a break out event for the entire women’s cross country team. All nine runners posted a season best time, while eight runners shattered their career bests.

Northern State University Athlete of the Week is an institutional award that is decided by the Northern State Sports Information Department.
