Northern State earned a split at Minnesota-Morris Wednesday afternoon. The Wolves won the first game of the doubleheader 5-1 before falling 4-2 in the nightcap.
In the first game, the Wolves (4-20) earned their comfortable margin with a three-run third inning. Junior utility player Eric Borge (Mellette) led the Wolves on the day with a .333 batting average on the day, including two RBI and a triple. Freshman pitcher Shawn Young picked up his second win of the season, giving up eight hits and one earned run.
