delivers Saturday against Wayne State (Neb.), while sophomore

Playing
in a constant dirt fog caused by 35 mph winds howling through
unsheltered Fossum Field in Aberdeen, Wayne State (Neb.) posted
6-0 and 6-3 wins over Northern Saturday in a Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader.
Senior
pitcher Andrew Lyke (Lakeville, Minn.) gave up three runs
in the first game, but the Wolves were also plagued with three
errors. Senior pitcher Ryan Albrecht (Aberdeen) took the loss
in the second game.
At the
plate, senior shortstop Eric Borge (Mellette) led the way
for NSU, going 4-for-6 on the day including a double. Wayne
improved to 15-12 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC with the wins.
Northern
(5-16, 0-6 NSIC) will try to avenge Saturday's setbacks with
another doubleheader against Wayne State Sunday.
