STATE EARNS HOME SPLIT WITH JIMMIES

- Northern State earned a split in non-conference baseball action
at Fossum Field on Tuesday afternoon in games against Jamestown
College. NSU dropped game one 10-6 but rallied to capture an 8-6
victory in the nightcap.

Northern State
saw a 5-4 lead after four innings disappear as Jamestown outscored
the Wolves 6-1 in the final three innings to capture a 10-6 victory.
Steve Rixen extended his hitting streak to five games going
2-for-3 from the plate with a double and a run scored. Deacon
Burns went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Jay Duehring
hit 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. NSU's Wesley Fisbeck
and Joe Fuller each hit home runs in the contest.

Northern State
put together a four-run fourth inning and held Jamestown off the
scoreboard in the final three frames to collect an 8-6 win at Fossum
Field on Tuesday. NSU trailed 6-4 heading into the fourth when the
Wolves posted four runs on four hits to take the lead for good.
NSU's Jay Duehring and Brandon Hinrichs were each
2-for-3 from the plate on the game. Duehring added three RBI in
the contest while Hinrichs posted one. Wesley Fisbeck hit
his third home run of the season and second of the day in the game.
Northern State
(5-9) is scheduled to host Minnesota-Duluth on Friday at Fossum
Field in Aberdeen.
