TOPPLES WOLVES 16-5, GAME TWO CALLED DUE TO RAIN

- The Winona State baseball team won its third straight over Northern
State on Saturday as the Warriors scored eight runs in the seventh
inning to defeat the Wolves 16-5. Game two of the scheduled doubleheader
was cancelled due to rain that hit the Aberdeen area between games.

Winona State
broke open an 8-5 game in the top of the seventh with an eight-run
inning to finish their thrid straight win over the Wolves 16-5.
NSU held a 4-3 lead going into the second inning when the Warriors
put up three in the second and never trailed for the rest of the
contest. Jay Duehring, Joel Backous and Wes Fisbeck all
posted two-hit games for the Wolves on the day.
Game 2 of the doubleheader was called
off after a two-hour rain delay due to rain.
Northern State finishes its season
with a 14-35 overall record and a 3-18 mark in the NSIC.
