Northern Splits with Huron
HURON, S.D. - The Wolves
defeated Huron Tuesday April 27th in game one with a comanding 21-12 win.
In game two Huron battled back to beat the Wolves 7-9.
In game one the Wolve's bats were on
fire racking up 20 total hits for the game. Burns, Cupp, Magstadt, and
Duehring all contributed with three hits a piece while Cupp drove in six
RBI's. The Wolves were down five to three going into the third inning
but managed to put together a seven run third inning and never looked
back.
Joe Dinger (4-3) got the win for the
Wolves pitching three and a third innings, giving up eight hits on the
18 batters he faced.

In game two the
Wolves jumped off to a comanding six to zero lead through three innings.
After the third the Wolves would only score one more run but gave up nine
to Huron in the last three innings.
Backous started
on the hill for the Wolves giving up eight runs on nine hits. Woida fininshed
out the last inning and a half giving up only three hits and one run on
on the game.
