Rhett Gunderson Pitched Six Shut Out Innings on Sunday

Game one was a pitchers dual as only three runs were scored, all in the first inning. Rhett Gunderson gave up a two run homer before shutting the Mustangs out the final six innings. The Wolves scored their only run when Wes Fisbeck grounded out to second, scoring Benji Kieffer.
Gunderson when all seven innings giving up one earned run on eight hits. He struck out and walked three of the 32batters he faced as he falls to 0-2 on the season. Ryan Morse pitched five innings for the Mustangs, giving up one earned run on three hits. The lefty struck out six and walked five of the 22 batters he faced.
Game two was more of the same. The Wolves scored a run in the bottom of the first after Beniji Kieffer led off the inning with a double down the left field line. Adam Kampsen would later knock Kieffer as he grounded out to short.
Matt Reich (3-2) pitched all seven innings for the Wolves, which makes four complete games for the Wolves over the weekend. Reich gave up two earned runs on ten hits. He struck out two of the 30 batters he faced.
The Wolves are now 7-14 overall and 2-6 in the NSIC, while the Mustangs improve to 10-7 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC.
