Game one saw Matt Paulson (3-4) give up only three runs, all in the fifth inning as the Wolves lost 3-1. Paulson went all seven innings giving up three earned runs on nine hits. He did not walk a batter while striking out four. The Wolves only run was a solo homer by Joel Backous in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Game two had Rhett Gunderson (1-3) pitch well as he gave up six runs (three earned) on 10 hits. Again the Wolves could not get their bats going as they only scored two runs and left five runners on base.
