ABERDEEN, SD – Northern State junior Adam Kampsen has been named NSIC Baseball Player of the Week. The third baseman from Paynesville, MN batted .571 (12-for-21) in six games during the week. The Wolves picked up their first four conference victories last week, sweeping MN-Crookston and splitting two doubleheaders with Bemidji State.

Kampsen had nine RBI and nine runs scored as he hit three homeruns and his first two triples of the season. Named NSIC Preseason Player of the Year, Kampsen has played in and started all 34 games for NSU this season and is leading the Wolves with a .419 batting average. He has 49 hits, including 16 for extra bases, and has driven in 20 runs. Kampsen has also proven himself a quick baserunner, stealing 9-of-10 bases this season.
