Kampsen Named To Northwoods League

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Adam Kampsen, a junior on the 2007 Northern State baseball team, was named to the 2007 Northwoods League All-Star Team. A native of Paynesville, Minn., Kampsen is a member of the St. Cloud River Bats baseball team, which was the North Division first half champion this season. Full Release

Gulseth Takes Over As Baseball Coach

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State University President, Patrick Schloss, has announced the appointment of Mark Gulseth as head baseball coach and admissions counselor.  Gulseth will take over the coaching post from Curt Fredrickson, who has served as women's basketball coach and baseball coach for the past five seasons. The move will allow Fredrickson to focus his time as head women’s basketball coach. Full Story

Wolves Place 16 On NSIC Spring
All-Academic Teams

ST. PAUL, Minn. - 16 of Northern State's spring sport athletes were named to NSIC All-Academic Teams in 2007. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Furthermore, the student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. Full Release

2007 Baseball Wrap-Up

ABERDEEN, S.D. - The Northern State University baseball team finished its season on a two game winning streak as they recorded an overall record of 12-36 and a 6-20 mark in the NSIC.
