Head Coach Shawn Wheelock had the following comments about the men: "Josh Schmeichel will obviously be the freshmen of the year, 3rd place. He slowly moved up through the field and pulled off his best race of the year. Outstanding effort. Josh has surpassed all expectations that we had of him, and then some."
"Danny Scott was 12th in 2005 and improved to 5th. This was by far Danny's best race of his career and just a sophomore.
Matt Scott was a very solid 6th place and again a tremendous performance on his part."
"The hidden story for the boys was Kevin Dahlberg & Tim Baustian, who were both walk-ons who decided to come out at the beginning of the year. Without them we would NOT have been runner-up in the NSIC meet. It was a true team effort here."
