Northern Picked 7th In Preseason Poll

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Wolves football team received 43 points and was picked to finish seventh in the 2007 Preseason NSIC Football Coaches Poll, released by the NSIC office. The Wolves open the 2007 season on the road, taking on St. Cloud State on Thursday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m.

Bemidji State, who went undefeated in league play in 2006, was favored to top all teams again in 2007. They went 9-3 overall last season and return 12 All-NSIC players. The Beavers enter the season ranked 13th in the nation. Winona State came in second in the preseason poll after receiving two first place votes. The Warriors also had a 9-3 mark last season and went 7-1 in league play before making an NCAA playoff berth.
