NSIC Player of the Week


Eric Ellingson has been named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Northern State quarterback Eric Ellingson tied a Northern State single game record with six touchdown passes in a 55-35 win over Upper Iowa on Saturday afternoon. In addition, Ellingson ran for two touchdowns, setting his game touchdown mark at eight. For his performance, he has been named Northern Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Ellingson (QB, 6-1, 180, So., Riverside Calif./Riverside PC Baptist HS) completed 25-of-33 passes for 286 yards in the final home game of the season. On the year, Ellingson has a 64.6 passing percentage and has thrown for 2,331 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Located in Aberdeen, S.D., the Northern State Wolves are an NCAA Division II member. They are 5-5 on the season with a mark of 5-3 in conference play. They wrap up the 2007 schedule on Saturday, November 10 with a game against the University of Mary at the NSIC Metrodome Classic, held at the H.H.H. Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. Game time is set for 12:00 noon.
