ST. PAUL, Minn. - Northern State linebacker Mike Preciado had a game-saving play in the final seconds of the Wolves' 21-20 win over MSU Moorhead last week and has been NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week. This is the second consecutive week that NSU has had a special teams player named NSIC Player of the Week.
With the Dragons threatening to take back the lead with a 27-yard field goal in the final six seconds of the game, junior Mike Preciado (LB, 5-11, 238, San Bernardino, Calif./San Bernardino Valley College) fought past his defenders and got his hands on the ball to block the kick. Preciado's block not only saved MSU Moorhead from winning the game, but nearly resulted in a Wolves touchdown, as it was returned to the MSUM 1-yard line as the game clock expired. Preciado had four tackles against the Dragons.
