WOLVES DOMINATE MINNESOTA-MORRIS

Oct. 7, 2000

Northern State University defeated University of Minnesota-Morris 49-7 Saturday in Morris.

Senior Harlon Hill candidate Tyrone Morgan (San Fernando, Calif.) rushed for 241 yards on 28 carries in about three quarters of work as the Wolves didn't need to use their passing offense to dominate the game. Senior quarterback Nate Breske (Webster) attempted just nine passes on the day, completing three of them, including a 36-yard touchdown strike to senior wideout Adam Syphers (Klamath Falls, Ore.).

Junior scatback and special teams returner Cody Jamison (Murray, Utah) started the game off right with a 100-yard kickoff return to set the tone. Defensively, senior end Colin Steen was in the Cougar backfield all day and racked up 11 tackles, including five for a loss of 22 yards and two sacks.
