RONNIE CRUZ NAMED NSIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ABERDEEN, SD - Northern State senior running back Ronnie Cruz (Kelseyville, Calif.) was honored as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in NSU’s 27-13 loss to St. Cloud State on Saturday.

Cruz, a 6-1, 235-pound, senior, rushed for 151 yards on 30 carries and caught two passes for 18 yards in Saturday’s contest. Cruz currently leads the Wolves with 288 yards on 59 carries and is NSU’s leading scorer with four touchdowns on the year. This is the second time that Cruz has been selected for this award also winning player of the week honors on Sep. 8 for his performance against Augustana.

Northern State (2-1) will host Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Swisher Field.
