Northern State Loses 45-10 at Kearney
Northern State (1-2) lost 45-10 in head Coach Chris Boden first road game as leader of the Wolves. The Wolves traveled to Nebraska-Kearney (2-1) for the first time since the 1994 season when they lost to the Lopers 62-21. The Wolves have never won at Kearney dating back through the 1974 season as they have gone 0-6 against the Lopers. The Lopers hold a 17-7-1 advantage in the all-time series.
Veaila Tupou has been selected as the Northern Sun
Intercollegiate
Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Nebraska-Kearney.
Tupou, a 5-11, 235-pound senior from Hauula, Hawaii, had 13 tackles, including three solo stops, two for loss and a forced fumble, in a 45-10 loss at Nebraska-Kearney.
Tupou is the first Wolf named defensive player of the week. Johnny Bentley (Jr., RB, Gardena, Calif.) was named offensive player of the week after the Mayville State game back onn August 27th.
