WOLVES POUND DRAGONS

Jan. 13, 1999

No. 6 Northern State dominated from the outset to secure a 85-69 win at Moorhead State Wednesday night.

The Wolves built a 36-20 bulge at halftime and coasted in the second half. The Dragons never came as close as single digits in the second stanza.

Sophomore guard Jared Miller (Mitchell, S.D.) fought through flu symptoms to rack up a game-high 26 points. Miller shot a scorching 7-of-10 from 3-point land to help the Wolves put the game out of reach. Junior guard Dan Fischer had an off night from the field but made up for it on the boards with a game-high nine rebounds. As a team, NSU shot 55 percent from the floor.

NSU travels to Duluth, Minn. Friday for a Saturday contest against Minnesota-Duluth. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
