Northern State picked up a tough road win against Huron University Wednesday night. The Wolves controlled the game, winning by final tally of 83-73. The victory came a bit easier than last season's 79-74 victory, and put NSU up 105-67 in the teams' storied all-time series.
Sophomore guard Jared Miller (Mitchell, S.D.) led NSU with 21 points, while junior guard Dan Fischer (Bagley, Minn.) and sophomore center Ben Dahl (Cottonwood, Minn.) added 15 apiece. The highlight of the game came when senior forward Kyle Johnson (Coon Rapids, Minn.) served up a facial on a fast break over Huron's 7-foot freshman center Chris Grubbrud.
Senior forward Mark Rich (Aberdeen, S.D.) had a solid game defensively, and also led the team in rebounds (six), assists (six) and steals (three).
