WOLVES OVERPOWER WESLEYAN

Five players scored in double digits as Northern State overwhelmed Dakota Wesleyan 86-62 Tuesday night in Wachs Arena.

Junior guard Dan Fischer (Bagley, Minn.) led the way with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting (including 3-of-5 from 3-point range). Senior forward Mark Rich (Aberdeen, S.D.) recorded a team-high nine rebounds and six assists to go along with 11 points. Senior forward Kyle Johnson (Coon Rapids, S.D.) had a similar balanced effort with 12 points, eight boards, two assists and one block.

As a team, the Wolves shot 56 percent for the game while holding Wesleyan to 31 percent in the second half.

The Wolves, in the midst of a six-game homestand, take on perennial regional power and intra-state rival South Dakota State Saturday at 7 p.m. in what is sure to be a packed and rockin' Wachs Arena.
