Feb. 29, 2000

Northern State University's season ended with a 67-79 loss at Southwest State University Tuesday night. The Wolves ended the year at 13-14 overall and 10-8 in the NSIC (fifth place).

The Wolves led early in the second half, but an offensive drought through the heart of the second half -- roughly 10 minutes with just six points -- did them in. NSU senior Scott Hanson (Tolna, N.D.) ended his career by leading his team with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Junior post Ben Dahl also contributed 13 points to go with seven rebounds. Freshmen Nick Schroeder (Plymouth, Minn.) and Sundance Wicks (Gillette, Wyo.) recorded 11 and 10 points, respectively. Scott Koenen led SSU with 23 points and six rebounds.
