Northern State University's season ended with a 78-87 loss to Minnesota-Duluth in the first round of the Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference playoffs Friday.

UMD (16-11), the conference fourth seed in the tournament, hosted the fifth-seeded Wolves (14-13).

Junior guard Drew Gruver (Scott City, Kan.) led NSU with a school career-high 22 points. Junior forwards Brad Hansen (Tea)
and Houston Reed (Olathe, Colo.) put up 14 points apiece for NSU, while junior point guard Roland Williams (Ft. Worth,
Texas) scored 11. Hansen led NSU in rebounding with eight boards. Jake Nettleton led UMD with 29 points.

It was the final game for NSU seniors Ben Dahl (Cottonwood, Minn.) and Jake Phillips (Manchester, Iowa).
