SOUTH DAKOTA STATE RUNS OVER WOLVES

Brookings, S.D. - The nationally-ranked South Dakota State Jackrabbits had no trouble disposing Northern State in a 96-57 SDSU win in Brookings on Saturday night.

The Jacks took the lead early and piled on the points taking a 45-25 advantage into the locker room.

SDSU led by as many as 44 late in the game but NSU hit some late buckets to close the Jack's lead to 96-57 at the final gun.

Matt Hammer scored nine points to lead the NSU offense while Taite Plaas recorded six rebounds on the evening.

Kyle Schwan dished out a career high five assists while Plaas led the team with four steals.

NSU hit at a 36.7 percent clip from the floor while hitting just under 27 percent from the three-point arch.

The Wolves were outrebounded by a decisive 43-25 count and committed 18 turnovers on the night.

NSU (5-1) hosts North Dakota on Wednesday night in Wachs Arena.
