RUN INTO HOT SHOOTING SIOUX SQUAD

Aberdeen,
S.D. - The
North Dakota Fighting Sioux shot at a 61.1 percent clip (11-18)
from three-point range including an 8-for-8 performance in the
second half as UND dismantled the Wolves 86-54 in Wachs Arean
on Wednesday night.
The
Wolves held a 19-15 lead with 9:06 to go in the first half before
UND finished the period on a 19-5 run to take a 34-24 advantage
into the midway break.
NSU
kept the game within ten points and pulled within two (49-47)
with 11:43 left in the game before the Sioux really hit stride
finishing the game on a 37-7 run.
NSU's
Matt Hammer (15) and Aaron Busack (13) were the only Wolves to
reach double-figures in scoring.
Hammer
led the team with eight rebounds while Jarod Obering and Steve
Smiley each contributed four assists in the contest.
NSU
shot at a 38.5 percent clip for the game going 11-of-34 in the
second half. NSU hit just 3-of-22 (.136) from three-point range
on the night.
North
Dakota was led by a 22-point night from Evan Lindahl while Mike
Johnson had 12 points, nine rebounds and ten assists on the game.
The
loss ends NSU's home winning streak at 12 games as the Wolves
will look to begin a new streak against South Dakota on Saturday
night at 8 p.m.
