WOES CONTINUE FOR WOLVES IN LOSS TO NDSU

N.D. - North
Dakota State shot over 61 percent from the floor as the Bison
rolled over Northern State 89-71 in Fargo on Tuesday night.
The
Bison used a 9-0 run early in the game to sprint to a ten-point
advantage and increased their lead to 14 by the halftime break.
The Wolves would not draw any closer than ten points for the rest
of the night as the hot-shooting home team rolled to an 18-point
victory.
NSU's
Jarod Obering led NSU scorers with 12 points on the night, all
on three-point shots (4-of-10). Matt Hammer and Dustin Hjelmeland
each added ten points to complete the list of Wolves in double-figures.
Luke
Wicks and Hammer each netted six boards for the Maroon and Gold
while Kyle Schwan dished out a career high seven assists. Schwan
also led NSU with five steals on the night.
NDSU's
Aaron Green held the hot hand on the court for the night going
11-of-12 from the floor and ending up with a game high 25 points.
For
the game, the Bison hit 35-of-57 shots (61.4 percent) while NSU
hit 45 percent from the floor.
NSU
(7-3) enters NSIC play on Saturday night when they meet Minnesota
State Moorhead for an 8 p.m. tilt.
