WOLVES GO 1-4 AT CROSSOVER TOURNAMENT IN MANKATO

The Northern State University softball team went 1-4 at the MSU/American Legion Softball tournament in Mankato, Minn. this weekend. On Saturday, the Wolves dropped games to University of North Dakota, 2-10, Minnesota State University-Mankato, 1-10 and University of South Dakota, 3-7. Then on Sunday the Wolves lost the first game in a nailbiter to St. Cloud State University, 0-2 before gaining their first win of the weekend with a 5-4 win over North Central Conference powerhouse South Dakota State University. Senior Dana Jesnowski (Evansville, Minn.) was 2-for-3 against the Jacks with a run scored and Lindsey Lewis (Black Hawk, S.D.) picked up her second win of the season as she pitched 4+ innings before giving way to Amy Gurney (Yankton, S.D.) who got the save. It was the first time that the Wolves have beat the Jackrabbits this season as they were 0-4 against them before Sunday's game.

The Wolves will travel to Marshall, Minn. today to take on the Mustangs of Southwest State University in a doubleheader.
