Wolves Rebound on Day Two of NSIC Crossover

Crookston, Minn. - The Wolves Rebounded on day two of the NSIC Crossover as they downed MN-Crookston 9-3 and bashed the Beavers of Bemidji State 12-0. The Wolves went 2-2 at the crossover and improved to 5-27 overall and 4-14 in the NSIC.

The Wolves welcomed back Cyndy Bronte after she missed the games Saturday. She went 5 for 7, scored two runs and knocked in nine RBIs in the two games on Sunday. She also had a grand slam in the 12-0 win over Bemidji State.

The Wolves used seven runs in the first two innings to avenge a loss to Minnesota, Crookston earlier in the season. Christie Bronte and sister Cyndy Bronte led the Wolves to the 9-3 win as they combined for five hits and four RBIs.

The Wolves completed the season sweep against Bemidji State as they pounded the Beavers 12-0 in the final game of the crossover.

The Wolves scored a season high 12 runs against the Beavers off 14 hits. Cyndy Bronte provided more than enough offense for the Wolves as she went 3 for 3, scored two runs, and had an astonishing 7 RBIs to go with eight put-outs in the field.

The Wolves also got their first shutout of the season as Christie Schulte (4-10) pitched a one hitter, striking out eight to get her four win of the season. Schulte has four of the five wins for the Wolves so far this season.
