Soccer Falls 0-1 In Overtime

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Northern State soccer team (3-1) suffered their first loss of the season, falling to St. Cloud State (2-2) in overtime. The loss ends a three-game winning streak that the Wolves started at the beginning of the season.

 

The Wolves managed just one shot on goal in 91:20 minutes of playing time, although they kept the Huskies to just five shots on goal. Theresa Alexander spent the game in the net, making four saves and giving up the lone score. SCSU's Ashley Herold sent the ball into the back of the goal just 1:20 into overtime.

 

The Wolves will return to action at the Husky Stadium Classic tomorrow afternoon. They will face the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth at 3:30 pm.
