Wolves Lose Close One

Aberdeen, S.D.- The Northern State Wolves (8-4, 3-2 NSIC) lose a tough game against the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears (5-7-1, 3-0 NSIC) 0-1 today in Aberdeen. The Wolves outshot the Golden Bears 15 to 3 on the day but were unable to put one in the back of the net.

The first half was played to a 0-0 tie, but in the second half the Golden Bears got the only goal of the game at the 59:37 mark as Hillary Johnson blasted a shot from thirty yards away over the head of the Wolves goal keeper Theresa Alexander. After that the Wolves put on a lot of pressure but the Golden Bears goal keeper Hannah Turgerson made some great saves to secure the win.

Alexander's record drops to 5-4 on the year with the loss. The Wolves will look to rebound when they play MSU Moorhead on Sunday October 1st at 1:00 pm in Aberdeen, SD.
