Edwardsville, Ill. : Northern State senior Eric Longhenry (Sr., Ortonville, Minn.) became NSU's 34th track & field all-American with an eighth place finish in the men's decathlon at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Friday.

Longhenry finished with 6,837 points, just shy of his personal best of 6,880 set earlier this season.

The Ortonville, Minn. native, jumped out to a great start in day two of the two-day event by winning the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.89 seconds. He then recorded a personal best in the 1,500-meter run to edge out North Dakota State's Kyle Herman for the final all-American Spot.
