LUCAS, ARNOLD AMONG EVENT WINNERS AT NEBRASKA-KEARNEY OPEN

Kearney, Neb.: Northern State's Micah Arnold and Christi Lucas each won events to open the 2003 outdoor track & field season at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Open.

Arnold captured titles in the 100 meters (11.00) and the 200 meters 22.15) while Lucas finished first in the 200 meters with a time of 26.25.

WOMEN'S NOTES:

-Christi Lucas finished fourth in the 100 meter dash (12.78).

-Kristin Peterson finished second in the 1500 meter run (5:03.00)

-Tanya Krage finished third in the 400 meter hurdles (1:09.0)

-Brandy Schnabel finished fifth in the long jump (17-00 1/2)

-LeAnne Ehrich finished fourth in the shot put (40-11)

MEN'S NOTES:

-Eric Longhenry finished second in the 110 meter hurdles (14.97)

-Ryan Wilhelm finished tied for second in the pole vault (15-00)

-Jake Luger finished fourth in the triple jump (44-10 1/4)
