WOLVES BEGIN HOMESTAND BY BLANKING MORRIS 3-0

Oct.. 5, 1999

ABERDEEN, S.D. – With true effort as the only constant exception, NSU's performances at home and on the road as of late have been as different as the personalities of Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. After suffering three straight 0-3 conference defeats on the road, the Wolves returned home to take on Minnesota-Morris Tuesday night and sure enough, their better half followed.

NSU (5-12, 3-3 NSIC) dumped Morris 15-4, 15-11, 15-6 to begin a five-match home swing the team no doubt hopes will help cure the recent manifestation of its alter ego on the road. In NSU's 17 matches, Tuesday's contest was only the third home match of the season. The team has won all three matches at home by a combined game score of 9-2.

Senior middle blocker Jean Kringstad (Aberdeen) became NSU's fifth member of the 1,000 career kill club during the match. She led all players with 12 kills at a .387 hitting percentage clip. Junior setter Tricia Schilling (Valley City, N.D.) doled out 42 assists and 17 digs on the night to lead the team in both categories. At the net defensively, sophomore Shanna Dahl (St. Cloud, Minn.) and junior Michelle Wiswell (Lead) combined for 15 blocks on the night as the Wolves dominated every facet of the match. Senior Alana Kiehn (Carlton, Minn.) recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs.
