Northern State fell 15-12, 8-15, 16-14, 15-11 to Wayne State College Saturday afternoon at the Barnett Center.

The Wolves (7-14, 5-5 NSIC) were led by senior middle blocker Jean Kringstad (Aberdeen), who tallied 16 kills. Junior setter Tricia Schilling (Valley City, N.D.) dished out 50 assists and had 23 digs for the Wolves. Despite a hitting percentage of just .081 in the final two games, Northern pulled out game three and made numerous comebacks in game four before the Wildcats won out.

Northern State ended its five-match homestand at 3-2. The Wolves go back on the road this week with dates at North Dakota Oct. 19, Minnesota-Crookston Oct. 22 and Moorhead State Oct. 23.
