Northern State recovered from a sluggish start to defeat Minnesota-Crookston 6-15, 15-2, 15-1, 15-9 Friday night in Crookston.

After suffering a disappointing five-game loss at North Dakota Wednesday, the Wolves responded after the first game Friday. Senior middle blocker Jean Kringstad (Aberdeen) tallied 10 kills and six blocks. Junior outside hitter Michelle Wiswell (Lead) added 11 kills and two blocks. Junior setter Tricia Schilling turned in 32 assists and 14 digs. Freshman outside hitter Stephanie Tschetter (Huron) and sophomore Kristen Bottomley (Rapid City) led the team in digs with 18 and 15, respectively.
