Northern State University seniors Jean Kringstad (Aberdeen) and Alana Kiehn (Carlton, Minn.) exited the collegiate game in style Saturday, both coming up big in NSU's dominating 15-6, 15-12, 15-9 win at Concordia-St. Paul.
Kringstad recorded a team-high eight kills and eight blocks in what was a quick match. Kiehn was right behind with seven kills and eight digs. Junior setter Tricia Schilling (Valley City, N.D.) tallied 20 assists to go with 11 digs on the night.
Kringstad moved into second on NSU's all-time kills list in her last match, surpassing former teammate Jessica Johnson (who recorded 1,177 kills from 1995-98) and ending her stellar career with 1,184 kills. Kringstad also ranks third on NSU's career blocks list with 463 total blocks.
NSU ended its season on a two-match road winning streak. The Wolves
finished 11-19 overall and 9-9 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
