Northern State made short work of Bemidji State Friday night, defeating the Beavers 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-26) in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match at the Barnett Center.

The Wolves (15-9, 9-4 NSIC) were able to give underclassmen some varsity playing time in the third game, as NSU held BSU to a negative hitting percentage in the first two games.

Junior outside hitter Molly Veenhof (Huron) led the way for Northern with nine kills on a .471 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Tara Sauter (Belle Plaine, Minn.) had 20 set assists and 10 digs in two games. Senior Shanna Dahl (St. Cloud, Minn.) led the way at the net with five blocks.

Northern will face a huge test tomorrow night when perennial regional power Minnesota-Duluth visits Aberdeen.
