Nov. 9, 2001

Northern State let down after winning its first two games on the road but recovered in time for a five-game victory Friday night at Winona State (30-27, 30-21, 27-30, 26-30, 15-8).

With the win, NSU (18-11, 11-6 NSIC) equaled its overall win count from a season ago and could better the mark tomorrow night in the season finale at Concordia-St. Paul.

Senior middle blocker Shanna Dahl (St. Cloud, Minn.) tallied three blocks at the net, making her just two shy of moving into fourth on NSU's career total blocks list. Dahl also tallied 13 kills on a .324 hitting clip for the night. Junior middle blocker Christi Lucas (White) led the team in kills with 17 on a .429 hitting clip. Sophomore setter Tara Sauter (Belle Plaine, Minn.) ended with a whopping 52 assists and 15 digs. Winona State (7-24, overall, 4-13 NSIC) was led by Lisa Schlaak's 19 kills and 27 digs.
