ABERDEEN,
S.D.: High school volleyball standouts Kellie Heier
and Heather Pudwill have signed National Letters of
Intent to play volleyball at Northern State University next
fall. The announcement was made on Thursday by head coach
Lisa Schriver.
Kellie
Heier ,a 5’5” senior setter on the Aberdeen Central volleyball
team helped the Golden Eagles to a second place finish in
the state tournament a year ago. Heier is a scholar honor
athlete and has earned all-conference and all-state honors.
She was a three-sport athlete at ACHS also competing in basketball
and track. Kellie plans to major in elementary education at
NSU.
“Kellie’s
athletic ability makes up for any lack of size that she might
have,” commented Schriver. “She’s a very good defensive setter
which is something that you don’t usually see. She is a quality
player and will be a great addition to the campus and to the
volleyball program.”
