LUCAS NAMED TO AVCA ALL-NORTH CENTRAL REGION FIRST TEAM

ABERDEEN, S.D.: Northern State senior Christi Lucas (6’3, MB, White, S.D.) was named to the AVCA All-North Central Region team. The announcement came on Tuesday.

Christi was recently named to the All-NSIC first team for the third consecutive year finishing the season with 414 kills and 144 blocks (28 BS, 116 BA) on the year while leading the Wolves hitting at a .309 clip. Christi finished sixth in the NSIC in hitting percentage and kills while leading the leage averaging 1.30 blocks per game. Christi was named to the South Dakota State Burger King Classic All-Tournament Team and was honored as the NSIC Player of the Week twice. She leaves NSU ranking fourth all-time in kills and in blocks.

Last season, Christi was named to the Daktronics All-Region second team as a junior.
