NO. 18 BISON UPEND WOLVES, 3-1

FARGO, ND - Northern State dropped to 1-2 on the season losing in four games against nationally-ranked North Dakota State 31-29, 27-30, 30-25, 30-14 on Saturday in Fargo.

The loss marked NSU's second to nationally-ranked opposition this weekend.

The Wolves began the match well making the Bison use extra points to win game one and winning the second game, but NDSU was able to polish off the Wolves with strong efforts in games three and four.

The Wolves managed to hit just .079 in the match and never hit over .100 in any of their four games. NDSU, on the other hand, hit .179 and outblocked NSU 11-7 on the day.

Northern's Jessica Bates put up double-figure kills for the third time this season with 11 in the match. She also paced the Wolves with five blocks, as well.

Monica Inge continued her solid play defensively with a 20-dig performance. Inge has recorded over 20 digs in all three of her matches this season including a 40-dig outing on Friday against Emporia State.

Northern State will complete play in the NDSU Doublewood Inn Classic on Saturday night with a match against St. Cloud State at 7 p.m.
