NSU EXTENDS HOME WINNING STREAK TO EIGHT MATCHES

Sophomore Renae Sparling led NSU with 13 kills and 12 digs against MSU Moorhead.

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State extended its home court winning streak to eight games on Saturday with a 30-25, 30-28, 32-30 win in its conference-opening contest with MSU Moorhead.

Northern had little trouble with the Dragons until game three when the Wolves came back from down 29-25 to win a 32-30 game and capture their fifth win of the season.

Renae Sparling led the Wolf offense with 13 kills and 12 digs in the match. She also hit .462 (13-1-26) on the day and had three blocks as well.

Jessica Bates came through with 12 kills and four blocks while Chelsey Deibert managed 11 kills on the day.

Northern State (5-8, 1-0 NSIC) hosts Southwest Minnesota State next Friday in a 7 p.m. showdown.
