WOLVES OUTDUEL WAYNE STATE IN THREE GAMES

ABERDEEN, S.D. - The Northern State volleyball team bounced back from a three-game loss to Southwest Minnesota State Friday night to defeat Wayne State (Neb.) 30-25, 30-26, 32-30 on Saturday.

The Wolves made late game surges in all three games and took advantage of seven Wayne State serving errors and 27 attack errors en route to their sixth win of the season.

Jessica Bates led the team with 15 kills and moved into 20th place on the NSU all-time kills chart in just her second season with the Wolves.

Laura Nelson hit .455 with 12 kills while fellow sophomore Chelsey Deibert posted eight kills in game three to bring her match total to 11.

Monica Inge led the Wolves with 20 digs while Bates and NSU rightside hitter Tara Engquist had five blocks apiece.

Northern State (6-9, 2-1 NSIC) will travel to Bemidji State and Minnesota, Crookston next weekend.
