NSU STEAMROLLS TO VICTORY OVER WARRIORS

WINONA, MINN. - Northern State collected a decisive three-game victory over Winona State in WSU's McCown Gymnasium on Saturday night winning 30-23, 30-17, 30-21.

Jessica Bates and Renae Sparling led the Wolf charge with 15 and 14 kills, respectively on the night while setter Tara Sauter hit the 40-assist mark for the second straight night with 40 in the match. Sauter also posted four service aces moving her into a tie for tenth place on the NSU all-time aces charts with 94 in her career.

The Wolves posted eight team blocks on the night led by four-stuff performances by Bates and Chelsey Deibert.

Northern also found its offense in sync on the night hitting a season high .288 as a team with six Wolves hitting over .200 individually.

With the victory, NSU improves to 7-12 overall and 3-4 in the NSIC and will step out of NSIC play on Tuesday night to host South Dakota State in Wachs Arena for "Pack the Gym Night". First serve is at 7 p.m.
