NO. 7 MINNESOTA-DULUTH TOO MUCH FOR NORTHERN STATE

ABERDEEN, S.D . - The No. 7 ranked Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs came into Wachs arena and handed the Wolves a three-game setback by game scores of 30-27, 30-14, 30-20 on Friday evening.

The Wolves jumped on top of UMD early in game one, holding a lead much of the match, but six receiving errors in the game hindered the Wolves as the Bulldogs came back to win 30-27.

In games two and three there was never much doubt as NSU was only able to muster 34 points the rest of the night.

UMD's Callie Zwettler controlled the match offensively going for 22 kills and 13 digs while hitting at a .452 clip. The Bulldogs hit an astronomical .331 as a team on the night.

Northern State's Jessica Bates was able to reach double-figures in kills with ten in the match while Monica Inge came up with 15 digs on the night.

Northern State drops to 8-13 on the season and 3-5 in the NSIC and will play non-conference opponent Jamestown on the road Saturday night at 7 p.m.
