BEMIDJI
STATE RALLIES PAST WOLVES, 3-2
Aberdeen,
S.D. - The Bemidji State volleyball team rallied from two
games down to upend Northern State 3-2 in NSIC action on Tuesday
night in Wachs Arena.
The
Wolves came from behind in games one and two to topple BSU
30-25, 30-28 but NSU hitting errors cost the home team in
games three, four and five as the Beavers were able to capture
the final three games 30-27, 30-26, 15-10.
Northern
State's Jessica Bates recorded a career high 25 kills on the
night while hitting at a .261 clip while Tara Sauter posted
her second career triple-double with 11 kills, 49 assists
and 15 digs in the match. Monica Inge posted a match high
29 digs on the evening, as well.
Kelly
Piper led Bemidji State with 19 kills and 17 digs while Kristin
Smith had 62 assists and 23 digs on the night.
Northern
State, 9-14, 3-6 NSIC, will try to get back on the winning
track on Friday night when they travel to Moorhead, Minn.
to take on the Minnesota State Moorhead Dragons.
