SOPHOMORES LEAD WOLVES TO VICTORY OVER 'CATS

Wayne, Neb. - Northern State sophomores Chelsey Deibert and Laura Nelson combined for 33 Wolves points as NSU stole a five-game win over Wayne State (Neb.) on Friday night.

The Wolves picked up wins in games one and three and then captured the match with a 15-10 victory in game five.

Nelson posted 11 kills and a team high seven blocks on the night while hitting at a .409 clip. Deibert connected for a team high 13 kills to go with two aces and three blocks in the match.

-Tara Sauter came closer to catching 3,000 career assists with 52 on the night moving her all-time total to 2,934.

-Monica Inge added to her defensive totals with 38 digs on the evening. Inge, who now has 1,050 career digs passed Beth Van Emmerik for 12th place on the NSU all-time charts.

-The Wolves hit .221 as a team on the night and recorded 13.0 team blocks in the contest.

Northern State (10-15, 4-7 NSIC) will face SW Minnesota State on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Marshall, Minn.
